Growing interest from mission-driven, community-based organizations strengthens NPHI’s national community and collective voice
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) is experiencing a period of significant growth, welcoming a growing number of mission-driven, community-based organizations from across the country since its 2026 Summit.
The latest additions to NPHI’s membership reflect growing interest in the organization and its mission at a pivotal time for hospice, palliative care and serious illness care. As organizations navigate a rapidly changing healthcare landscape, more are turning to NPHI for opportunities to collaborate, learn from one another, advocate with a stronger collective voice and help shape the future of care.
This continued expansion brings new expertise, perspectives and community connections into NPHI’s national network, strengthening a community united by a commitment to high-quality, compassionate, people-first care.
“NPHI is entering an exciting new chapter, and this growth reflects the strength of the movement we are building together,” said Tom Koutsoumpas, Founder and CEO of NPHI. “Mission-driven organizations across the country recognize that this is a moment to come together. The challenges and opportunities ahead are bigger than any one organization, and our ability to shape the future will depend on the strength of our collective voice. Every new member makes that voice stronger.”
In recent weeks, NPHI has welcomed:
- Adventist Health (California)
- Crater Community Hospice (Virginia)
- Harbor Hospice & Palliative Care (Michigan)
- Heritage Hospice (Kentucky)
- Hope Hospice (Texas)
- Hospice of South Georgia, Inc. (Georgia)
- Hospice of Southern Illinois (Illinois)
- Hospice of Washington County (Iowa)
- Kentucky Association of Hospice and Palliative Care
- Lower Cape Fear LifeCare (North Carolina & South Carolina)
- Oregon Nonprofit Hospice Alliance (ONHA)
- Sangre de Cristo Community Care (Colorado)
- VNS Health (New York)
NPHI’s expansion comes at a consequential time for hospice and advanced illness care. As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, NPHI is building a broader national community where mission-driven organizations can share ideas and best practices, drive innovation, strengthen quality and advocate for policies that put the needs of patients, families and communities first.
“The interest in joining NPHI right now is extremely high, and we are seeing that momentum continue to build,” said Carole Fisher, President of NPHI. “Growth at this pace is exciting. It means bringing more people to the table, creating stronger connections and making sure every organization that joins can both contribute to and benefit from this community. We are growing with purpose, and we are incredibly energized about where we are headed together.”
At the center of NPHI’s mission is a commitment to protecting and advancing nonprofit, mission-driven care. Through advocacy, education, innovation and collaboration, NPHI brings together organizations that share a belief that healthcare should remain rooted in quality, compassion, community and a people-first mission — as emphasized through NPHI’s tagline, People Over Profits™.
As NPHI enters this next phase of growth, the organization remains focused on building a stronger, more connected national community — one capable of moving forward together and helping shape a better future for hospice, palliative care and advanced illness care across the country.
