Caring for the Ages: Palliative Care Amid the Pandemic: Resources for PALTC Providers and Families

Vycki Nalls, Ph.D., Director of Education, and Melissa McClean, Nurse Practitioner & Medical Director, Community Based Palliative Care at Capital Caring Health, have an article published in the August issue of Caring for the Ages – a newspaper for the Journal of the American Medical Directors Association (JAMDA).

In the article, Nalls and McClean provide an overview of the resources and models of care used by palliative care providers in the response to COVID-19 to help educate patients, families, health care colleagues, and the general public about palliative care and how palliative care clinicians contribute to the care of post-acute, long-term care (PALTC) patients.

JAMDA is a peer-reviewed medical journal and covers aspects of long-term care and geriatrics.  Here is a link to the article.
