David Cook, MBA, is Chief Executive Officer of Everent Health, Inc. (EHI), where he is advancing a bold vision for the future of community-based, nonprofit hospice and serious-illness care. Through strategic alignment, shared innovation, and operational integration, he works to ensure mission-driven providers have the scale, strength, and sustainability needed to serve patients and families in an evolving healthcare landscape.
With more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, David most recently served as President and CEO of Hosparus Health and Pallitus Health Partners, where he guided significant growth and innovation in hospice and palliative care across Kentucky and Indiana. During his tenure, he was instrumental in the creation of Everent Health, founded in 2025 by Hosparus Health and Bluegrass Care Navigators. From 2018 to 2021, David served as President and CEO of Carolina Caring, North Carolina, where he expanded service offerings and led the development of Cardinal Kids, a community-based pediatric palliative and hospice program.
David currently serves on the boards of the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation, the Louisville Healthcare CEO Council, Responsive Care Solutions and the Kentucky Association of Hospice & Palliative Care. He is the chair of the Kentucky PACE Association.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting, and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University. A native of the Kentuckiana area, he resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife, Bonnie, and their three sons.
