NPHI is pleased to welcome two new nonprofit hospice and advanced illness care providers whose long-standing commitments to compassionate, community-based care align closely with our mission and values.
Goodwin Hospice (Northern Virginia)
Goodwin Hospice provides in-home hospice care across Northern Virginia — from private residences to senior living campuses and other care settings. Their approach is rooted in a simple belief: every person deserves comfort, dignity, and connection throughout life’s journey.
As part of the Goodwin Living Health family, Goodwin Hospice brings presence, purpose, and personalized support directly to where people call home. Their team focuses on meeting the unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient, while extending meaningful support to families, caregivers, and communities.
Founded in 1998, Goodwin Hospice currently serves 10 regions across Northern Virginia.

Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont (South Carolina)
Not to be confused with our existing member, Hospice of the Piedmont, this organization brings its own proud legacy of nonprofit service to South Carolina communities.
Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont is the region’s only community-based, nonprofit hospice and palliative care provider. Since 1981, they have served patients and families across Greenwood, Laurens, Edgefield, Abbeville, McCormick, Newberry, and Saluda counties.
Founded by local medical professionals who saw a growing need for compassionate, affordable care, the organization has remained deeply connected to its community for more than 40 years. Its board — composed of respected local leaders — continues to prioritize the needs of the region’s residents, ensuring care is shaped by people who live and work alongside those they serve.
