The National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI), the national voice for nonprofit hospice and advanced illness care, is convening its member CEOs and senior leaders from across the country in Washington, D.C. this week for its annual Fall Leadership Conference. This year marks the first gathering under the new name—and the first time the event has expanded beyond just CEOs—now known as the NPHI Washington Leadership Conference.
NPHI Member leaders will engage with policymakers and hear from forward-thinking experts offering solutions to healthcare challenges that will ultimately impact patients and families across the country. Featured speakers include U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) and Kim Brandt, Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Director of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
On Wednesday, September 17, NPHI members will visit Capitol Hill to meet with their state representatives and advocate for policies that protect patients, support families, and uphold the integrity of nonprofit hospice and advanced illness care.
“Bringing our leaders to Washington is one of the most important things we do as a national organization,” said Tom Koutsoumpas, CEO of NPHI. “Our members are united by a shared commitment to putting people over profits and they come to Washington to ensure that every patient and family has access to compassionate, high-quality care when it’s needed most. By engaging directly with policymakers, we make sure the needs of patients, families, and communities remain at the center of national healthcare discussions.”
The NPHI Washington Leadership Conference provides a vital opportunity for nonprofit hospice and advanced illness leaders to connect, collaborate, and advocate on behalf of the communities they serve nationwide. NPHI will share additional highlights and outcomes from the event following its conclusion.
