WASHINGTON, D.C. [April 29, 2025] — The 10th Annual Summit of the National Partnership for Healthcare and Hospice Innovation (NPHI) officially kicks off this morning, April 29, at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. This milestone Summit, themed “A Decade of Impact,” brings together hospice and palliative care leaders from across the nation to celebrate ten years of remarkable achievements and to explore the innovative strategies that will drive the future of high-quality, community-based care.
Attendees will engage in dynamic plenary sessions and interactive breakout sessions covering some of the most pressing issues in the field. Key topics include advancing policy solutions to prevent fraud and abuse in hospice, harnessing artificial intelligence to improve care, exploring international hospice, elevating outreach and communications, and strengthening the quality and consistency of services across the board. During the summit, NPHI will also debut a newly developed Cancer Clinical Provider Guide—designed to help members deliver the highest standards of cancer care.
This summit is also a celebration of NPHI’s 10-year anniversary with a variety of celebratory elements throughout, honoring the work and impact of its members. These moments of reflection will highlight the importance of community, collaboration, and commitment to quality hospice and advanced illness care.
“As we mark a decade of impact, this summit is not only a time to reflect on the extraordinary progress we’ve made, but an opportunity to be forward thinking and anticipating what comes next,” said Tom Koutsoumpas, NPHI CEO. “Gathering together in person allows us to exchange ideas and share innovative strategies that will shape the future of advanced illness care in this country. The discussions and collaborations at this summit will also empower our members to continue leading the way in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.”
Tom Koutsoumpas will emphasize the importance for members to “remain on the front end of the future” in his opening remarks. He will encourage members to not only anticipate change, but embrace and be at the table to lead those opportunities.
Carole Fisher, NPHI President, added, “this summit is designed with one core purpose: to help our members thrive. By equipping them with the tools, insights, and connections they need, we ensure that they can continue to focus on what matters most—caring for people in their hour of need. Our members’ dedication has made a lasting impact in this country, and we’ll honor those efforts this week.”
