Jeff serves as NPHI’s Group Purchasing Network Advisor, where he oversees the organization’s collective purchasing efforts to benefit members. He works closely with members to identify cost-saving opportunities through NPHI’s Aggregate Buying Network, the Ohio State Health Network (OSHN).
For many years, Jeff led the Ohio Hospice & Palliative Care Organization before leaving to take a leadership role with Ohio’s Hospice and then starting his own consultation business, Hospice & Palliative Care Advocates, in 2024. Jeff has worked closely with NPHI throughout its existence, as well as working closely with OSHN over the last eight years.
Jeff is a Registered Nurse with a master’s degree in human services, focusing on not-for-profit organizations. He has worked in healthcare for over forty years, predominantly in oncology, hospice, and palliative care. A central focus of his career has been advocating to improve the quality-of-life experience and creating the right environment to care for individuals with serious, life-limiting illnesses who interact with our healthcare system. Over the last decade, part of Jeff’s focus has been on operational efficiencies that produce a net effect, shifting dollars towards direct care resources.
His past experiences uniquely position him to advocate around efforts to improve patient care through non-direct operational efficiencies and shifting resources to enable providers to support environments of care for the population we serve.
