Annette Kiser is a nationally recognized expert in compliance and quality in the hospice and serious illness community with almost 40 years of experience. As the Chief Compliance Officer for Teleios Collaborative Network for the past seven years, she provides subject matter specialty coaching, technical assistance, and education to clinical and administrative staff in organizations across the country. She partners with organizational leaders to promote quality and compliance best practices, address compliance needs, and navigate the challenges of federal and state audits and surveys.
As a registered nurse leader with over 20 years of experience in community-based nonprofit hospices and more than six years as a regulatory and quality specialist with a two-state hospice and palliative care association, she has had insight into all aspects of care delivery in post-acute settings. In her capacity as NPHI’s Technical Strategic Advisor, Annette co-chairs the NPHI Quality Improvement and Regulatory and Compliance Forum. She represents NPHI on the Post-Acute Care/Long-Term Care (PAC/LTC) Pre-Rulemaking Measure Review (PRMR) Committee—contributing her expertise to the Partnership for Quality Measurement endorsement process. As a member of the Palmetto GBA Hospice Coalition for over 15 years, she works collaboratively with the Medicare Administrative Contractor to address issues around billing, reimbursement, and medical review.
